Receiving this funding is more than financial assistance—it’s an endorsement of the importance of engaging with international communities, exchanging ideas, and contributing to the evolution of our profession.
I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been awarded conference fee funding from the Elizabeth Casson Trust to attend the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) Congress 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand.
This generous support is a meaningful step in my professional journey. It not only enables me to attend one of the most significant global events in occupational therapy, but also affirms the value of the work I’ve been developing and sharing.
Why This Funding Matters
The Elizabeth Casson Trust is dedicated to supporting occupational therapists in their growth, leadership, and innovation. Receiving this funding is more than financial assistance—it’s an endorsement of the importance of engaging with international communities, exchanging ideas, and contributing to the evolution of our profession.

Preparing to Present at WFOT 2026
As part of the congress, I’ll be delivering a 12-minute lecture based on a project I’ve been working on passionately. The process of submitting an abstract, refining the message, and preparing to present to a global audience has been both challenging and rewarding.
I’ve written more about that journey—from abstract to acceptance—in a previous blog post:
From Abstract to Acceptance – Speaking at OT Congress 2026 in Bangkok

Looking Ahead
Attending WFOT 2026 will be an opportunity to:
• Share my work with an international audience
• Learn from diverse perspectives and practices
• Build connections with fellow occupational therapists from around the world
• Reflect on how global insights can inform and enrich local practice
I’m incredibly grateful to the Elizabeth Casson Trust for making this possible, and I’m looking forward to representing our community in Bangkok next year.
Stay tuned for more updates as the congress approaches—and thank you to everyone who’s supported me along the way.
