Sensory Tots & Finlay's Superstars
Jennifer started Sensory Tots Stirling because of her passion for sensory play and the benefits it brings to all children. She had worked for 15 years as a Staff Nurse, taking charge of a busy high dependency unit but felt it was time for a change and a new challenge.
Jennifer lives in Stirling with her husband, Ross, and son, Harrison. Jennifer's eldest son, Finlay, passed away in 2021 and was the inspiration behind Sensory Tots Stirling. He had an extremely rare genetic condition and benefitted massively from sensory play.
Sensory Tots classes were available for all children aged 1 to 4 years, but Jennifer closed this service in early 2025.
In addition to the Sensory Tots service, small classes for children with additional needs in memory of Finlay were offered...Finlay's Superstars.
Finlay's Superstars are weekly multisensory classes for preschool aged children with additional support needs. Your child doesn't need to have a diagnosis to attend.
Started in Sept 2021 in memory of my beautiful boy Finlay, the classes are relaxed and have lower numbers than other classes to provide a lower stimulus environment. Classes are catered to your child's needs as much as possible. Through different sensory experiences your child can benefit socially, physically and emotionally.
Jenni
Classes are a great way of connecting with families going through similar journeys with their littles ones. Current families find chatting with each other a great source of support and advice. All of Finlay's Superstars previously had a free place which was their's weekly until they no longer attended. The funding for these classes came from fundraising events and charity donations. This covered the cost of hall rent and class resources. Jennifer used to give her time for free happily. At times, a volunteer Melissa, would support the facilitation of classes. Melissa is a mum to a child being assessed for Autism.
All classes are based on the core values of being caring and non judgemental. The golden rule is to never apologise for your child
As of April 2025, BounceOT will take on running weekly classes at our therapeutic play room in Stirling every Friday. Also, our office will be used to offer tea, coffee, and snacks. BounceOT will pay Jennifers time so she is not running the group for free, and fundraising will be led by Callum (Founder & Lead Occupational Therapist, BounceOT) and Jennifer together.
I am thrilled that BounceOT will start supporting Finlay’s Superstars starting next month. I understand how much this group means to Jenni and the families that already attend. With Jenni winding down her own business, I want to ensure the group continues in some capacity, and I’m committed to maintaining its essence and spirit.
It's important to me that the group remains led by all of its current members. My role will be to support from a distance—whether clinically, financially, or however else is needed—without taking over anything.

Jennifer already works at BounceOT as a Therapeutic Play Leader, so facilitating Finlay's Superstars at BounceOT in Stirling will soon be part of her paid role!
