Recently, Fien, an international exchange student from Odisee University College Brussels, delivered a reflective presentation at her university in Belgium following her observation internship with BounceOT Stirling CIC.

During her talk, Fien shared insights from her time in Stirling, where she was warmly welcomed by the BounceOT team and immersed in the world of paediatric occupational therapy. Her presentation, attended by university lecturers, staff, and fellow students, highlighted the unique learning opportunities she encountered — from observing therapy sessions to understanding the holistic and creative approaches used by the team.

Fien’s goal was to inspire her peers to consider similar international placements. She spoke passionately about the personal and professional growth she experienced, and how the supportive environment at BounceOT helped her build confidence and deepen her understanding of occupational therapy in a different cultural context.
Her story is a testament to the value of international collaboration in education and the impact of hands-on learning. You can read more about her journey in her full blog post here: From Belgium to BounceOT.
